Unfortunately, I was never able to meet sweet Roman. However, being good friends with his sister Ivy, I’ve had the privilege of knowing who he is! The first time me and Ivy ever went to get dinner we talked about our families. A lot of the conversation was about Roman. She showed me pictures and so so many funny videos of them together. You know he was special because of the way her whole face lit up when she smiled. That is something that I have come to know that her and Roman both share. Being an only child, their relationship is something that I admire deeply and I pray for in my future children. I also admire Roman’s relationship with the Lord. It is hard to come by someone at any age, especially Roman’s, that had such a passion for Jesus and having a relationship with Him. Ivy once shared a story with me about how Roman was struggling with something and he went to his mom and asked if they could pray together about it. Through others testimony I have learned that Roman wanted everyone that he knew to have a relationship with Jesus, just like he does. I strive to have a relationship with Jesus like Roman has. The thing that has stuck with me the most since his passing was him telling Ivy that he cannot wait to get to Heaven. Roman, when we meet each other in Heaven I cannot wait to do so many silly TikTok dances with you! Until then, I’m going to do my best to live like Roman.
