…Although it did not end up being a match, this is the first time the hospital has contacted her of a potential match. This gave her a lot of hope and she feels like Roman is interceding on her behalf.

…Midway through the first quarter this little boy came and sat next to me out of the blue. He immediately asked me if he could have my “wristband.” Of course I gave it to him. He wanted to know what the wording on the “wristband” meant so I told him all about Roman. I told him how special he was, that he was in heaven, and how much he loved God. He was very curious and had ALOT of questions for me. He referred to Roman as my “friend in the sky.” We talked about how he could LIVE LIKE ROMAN did and how much of an honor it was to wear his “wristband.” He told me his name was Adrian and that he was six years old….

Wednesday was Día de los Muertos. So many of Roman’s classmates remembered Roman by placing a picture of him on our ofrenda we made for Spanish class, and spoke about how he impacted their lives. We spoke about each time we choose good we honor Roman by striving to be more like him…

I met Roman about 6 years ago through his sister Ivy. Ivy and I cheered together and became very close friends. Our families soon became good friends and we had the best times all together. As soon as i met Roman i felt an instant connection to him. I loved his loving heart, selfless acts, goofy laugh, and especially his warm hugs. My family and I loved having him around the house as he became close friends with my younger brother Seth. Ivy, Roman, Seth, and I had the most fun times together. We were the best friend group in my opinion. One of my favorite memories was us all hanging out together in Disney world for Ivy and I’s cheer competition. I remember riding on a bunch of rides and cracking up at roman with his jokes and funny dance moves. I feel very connected with Roman in many ways but the one i love the most is Rotolos Pizzeria. Every time Roman would come to my house, he came with a Rotolos to go box with something delicious inside. I work at Rotolos. I remember Mr. Ryan or Mrs. Simone always coming to pick up an order for Roman because he loved it so much. Every single time i go to work i think of him and how happy it made him…

I remember one year I didn’t make the select baseball team, I took it pretty hard. Roman was the first person to text me and cheer me up, he asked me if I wanted to go to his house and swim. It worked, cheered me up really quickly and helped me realize it wasn’t all about baseball or sports. When Roman left Holy Rosary and I went to EDW we didn’t really keep in touch besides the occasional times we saw each other. Saw his candle when I woke up this morning and made me think about him. Love you buddy, hope you’re making everyone laugh up there.

Today makes 2 months since Roman passed and I still miss him. I always think of him when I’m in class and playing baseball. I know he is in Heaven enjoying us playing baseball and doing what he loved. I remember on the last day of school and going back to Roman’s house to play wiffle ball. I will never forget when Keymooney lost his glasses in his pond and we had to look for them for hours. I will miss getting whip-cream in the face while I was sleeping. I miss you Roman❤️

My personal experiences with Roman on earth were very few & brief. He came to me in a dream several days after his passing. I’ve prayed every day since for God to ease the pain of his family’s lost. I was very aware of his passion for the sport of bass fishing. He & my son both fished the Louisiana BASS High School Tournaments. Last weekend I was captain on one of their tournaments on Toledo Bend. My son only had 20 minutes left to fish before we had to leave. I was sitting in the boat staring at the blue sky and I said to myself “Roman give Seth one more good bite…

Hello, I’m Thomas’s dad and coach, and I wanted to share this story about Roman and how his love continues to spread in the world. Here goes…Thomas got a pretty late start in baseball back in our hometown in Cut Off a few years ago. His interest in the game really started because a team of kids one year older than him would practice across the street from our house, and he admired them so much. One morning, Thomas walked over to hang out while the boys where hitting balls in the cage. A kind kid with a heart of gold befriended Thomas because he saw that Thomas had such an interest in the game. That kid told his mom that day, “Mom, if I get a hit today, I’m going to dedicate my hit to Thomas.” It takes a special kid to even think like that. That kid’s name is Roman Robichaux. Our entire family, never forgot that act of kindness. Well, this year that kind young man tragically passed away. Before the spring season, Thomas came to me and told me, “Dad, I want to change my number to his and dedicate my last season of travel baseball to him.” This weekend, he was watching over Thomas and us. Our team, had not won a Championship yet, and it was our first tournament in the spring. In the bottom half of the last inning of the championship game, we had a man on second with two outs. The game was tied, and Thomas, wearing Roman’s number, was at the plate with two strikes. See the video for what happens next. You see the kindness Roman shared was connected to everything that happened on that field. Roman was always nice to Thomas when he would go over to Paul and Natasha’s house to practice. His kindness helped foster Tom’s love of baseball…

Well, someone finally paid me a visit his morning. I had an online class at 7:30 and I fell back asleep after. I had a dream that I was sitting up in my bed and Roman was sitting aross from me at the foot of the bed. He had his blue Pierpunks shirt one and we both were holding markers. I have no clue what we were doing with markers but whatever. We kept giggling at each other and the I realized that it was actually him sitting across from me…

I don't even know where to begin. Roman, you had my heart from the moment you came home from the hospital. It still doesn't seem real that I will never see you again or hear your voice when I walk into your house, "Hey, Miss Megan," or feel the embrace of your hugs. Everyone who has ever spent a reasonable amount of time with me knew who you were because I always talked about you. I considered you my own. You were an angel on Earth. I will forever cherish all the nights I rocked you to sleep. Life will never be the same without you, and a part of my heart is now in heaven. I hope you know how much I love and miss you. I can't wait to see you again one day. The other day (1/30/22), the Lord put a couple of scripture verses on my heart…

From day one when I was asked to be Nannie I was thrilled beyond all means. How special and what an honor right? Well I Never knew how really special it would be to hear him call me Nannie Beth. Omgggg when I would hear that come out his mouth my heart would melt. How I loved his voice, his laugh, his face, his heart and everything he was. So special and I feel so honored and blessed I was chosen to be his Godmother…

Well, Roman kept me awake last night. I had began trying to fall asleep around 11:00 pm, but the next time I looked at the clock it was 1:47 am, and I still had yet to get any sleep. Usually when I try to sleep and can’t, I repeatedly say my prayers until I fall asleep; I couldn’t figure out why it was taking me so long last night or what was keeping me up…

Roman was amazing. His smile automatically made your day better. He was so kind and had a big heart for others. I remember we used to play games together and he made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. He was fun to be around and always positive and joyful. He had this wonderful personality unlike anyone else that I know, a person you would always want to be around…

My favorite memory is when we had a flag football game. Dominic was our coach and it was rainy. After the game, even though we had lost, Roman made sure that we all had a smile; we all went dive in a big mud puddle.

One day Roman was riding with us to basketball practice. I was putting all the kids in the car including Dianne (who is now 3 years old). Well I had to quickly go back inside to get her sip cup because she started crying. Roman was sitting in the seat beside her in the back. When I returned to the car I noticed she was buckled in her seat and had stopped crying. Roman had given her a little toy to play with and was talking to her when I returned…

I have started this testament so many times! There is so much to say about Roman!! Always smiling!!! He loved to laugh and make you laugh. His heart was so pure. He gave his all everyday. And left a piece of himself with everyone wether you were kind to him or a jerk! I just want one more lunch!! One more chance to offer him pickle quail eggs and he could look at me with that side grin and say no (with that flat down the bayou accent)! “How about this?” he’d ask while pulling something out his lunch box…
